The USF migration process consisted of many moving parts and collaboration between myself and content owners. I am the team lead when it comes to content migration and website build out. I was responsible for seeing a website through concept to completion while collaborating with many different people from many teams.
The migration process consisted of an initial meeting with a content owner to talk about their wants and needs from a website. After the initial meeting I set up a project timeline to make both parties aware of their responsibility in the project and to ensure we hit our milestones and met the project deadline.
From there I would direct them to our blank wireframe templates where they would layout their site to their specification. I would then review their wireframes and offer any input on things that could improve the site or the user journey. After some back and forth I would then take their wireframes and build out their test site.
Building out their test site consisted of my taking their wireframes and building them on our content management system. I would also set up restrictions to prevent users from placing files, documents and images in places where they don’t belong. Along with setting up restrictions I would create groups and add every user into a group and then give that group access to the site. After building out the “skeleton” of the site and giving proper access I would send it over to the content owners to add their content.
Sometimes content owners did not have enough time or did not feel comfortable enough to migrate their content so I would do that for them. In the process of taking their content from the wireframes to the aspx pages I would stylize and format their content. I would make sure all images were in proper snippets to help with mobile responsiveness as well as create all the metadata for pages and link them all together.
If the content owners decided to migrate the content one they were done they would send me their test site to give it a final review. During this review some of the things I looked for were:

Made sure all pages had content and metadata
Images were in snippets
Pages linked properly and there were no dead links
Images and documents were in their respective folders

Once I completed this review and they fixed any issues that I found I would then sign off on the website. Depending on the size of the site I would launch it myself or send it to IT to have them launch it and set up vanity urls.

I am the team lead for this web governance software and am responsible for running all reports, audits, and monitoring KPIs. I consolidate the results into two sections: analytics/reporting and quality assurance/KPIs.
Some of the features that I have used in this system are:

Page Views
Entries and Exits
Location
Device Used
Broken Links
Dead Pages
Misspelled Words
Heat Mapping

The analytics portion of my duties require me to pull reports and present them to the Assistant Vice-President as well as other members of the senior leadership team. The quality assurance/web governance module is where I spend most of my time and what I enjoy doing. This aspect of the tool crawls the whole site and assigns an overall DCI (Digital Certainty Index) score that is regularly adjusted to reflect the changing digital environment.
I use this score to run reports and create KPIs to track progress across our site. I collaborate with the content owners during this step to ensure content quality and to expedite the optimization process. I thoroughly enjoy this responsibility because I like analyzing and visualizing the data and I can track the progress that is being made over time. I also enjoy reviewing the analytics and seeing where our users are hitting the site and how they are moving around it. As a result, I have hard data and can offer input in site redesigns and reorganizations.

This is the ticketing system that we use to track service tickets. I am the team lead for this system and my main responsibility is to monitor incoming tickets and triage them to the proper team member. I communicate and collaborate with many people in different roles and experience in a timely and professional way. Since our team implemented this system, we have been breaking our previous month’s record month over month.

To add this code, I had to go into over 300 sites and manually add in the code and then ensure that it was working properly. One of the new additions was a new donate button in the top banner. This allowed different departments to add their own URLs if they wanted their followers to donate to a specific program or keep the generic university wide donation. This was beneficial to the university because now visitors had plenty of opportunity to donate instead of going back through the site to find a specific donation page.
The second functionality that was added was geared towards updating the design/layout of landing pages. This new code gave content owners the ability to add Full-Width images and videos to their homepage. Prior to this, managers only had the ability to have a small or large image or video. This addition helped content owners freshen up their websites without having to do a complete site redesign.
The final part in this project was the removal of old social media links to accounts that were previously removed. Removing these old accounts helped improve our DCI score in Siteimprove and eliminated dead sites.

During my time at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) I worked on both the AAP site as well as their Healthy Child site. The AAP website was more geared for pediatricians and government relations while Healthy Children was geared towards parents. You can view examples of each site by followng these links.

AAP.org
<img width="1350" height="628" width_o="1350" height_o="628" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/c5d1945ff501ff26ac334936e755f9616be5596017a7caafcc63cf4b2bd5410d/aap.png" data-mid="81808166" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/c5d1945ff501ff26ac334936e755f9616be5596017a7caafcc63cf4b2bd5410d/aap.png" />
During my time at the American Academy of Pediatrics, I worked on two different websites. The primary audience of the AAP were its 67,000+ physicians and lawmakers. This site housed many legal documents as well as research articles and journals. A synopsis of my responsibilities in this position were:
Maintained and updated content to the SharePoint 2013 CMSReviewed web page functionality.Ensured that all content adhered to website style guidelines.Maintained the project calendar and made sure all projects met deadlines.

One of my biggest accomplishments for this site was developing structured metadata on an enterprise-level CMS with over 50,000 documents, 10,000 images and 20,000 pages.

HealthyChildren.org<img width="1350" height="628" width_o="1350" height_o="628" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/d309498923e625030d5bf52e14c5847dea48bec90e7edcd89223147aaa8f2af1/hc.png" data-mid="81808167" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/d309498923e625030d5bf52e14c5847dea48bec90e7edcd89223147aaa8f2af1/hc.png" />

In conjunction with updating this site, I had to work simultaneously on the HealthyChildren.org. This site served as the AAP’s parenting website where parents could view articles written by our pediatricians on a variety of topics
My responsibilities for this site were similar to that of AAP’s in addition to:
Generated their sweepstakes entries and notified winners.Created and sent monthly newslettersWorked with our Spanish editor to build out the Spanish website.Created images for organization’s Pinterest page.Performed User Acceptance Testing for the site and all new features.
One of my biggest accomplishments on this site was growing HealthyChildren.org Pinterest account from 4 pins to 892 pins, 21 boards, and 2,745 followers.
During my time at the AAP, I learned very valuable skills that I use in my current position and that will benefit me in my future endeavors. It was in this role that I received a few awards that I am very proud of as well:
AAP Star Recognition Award
AAP Spotlight Award
AAP Pursuit of Excellence Award

This was a single page info sheet that was created as part of Flexeon Rehabilitation’s marketing material. This front and back piece listed out some common issues a person can experience and the location of all of our clinics. This documentation was distributed to all of our 15 clinics as well as surrounding physician offices. It was also used in our marketing packet that our business development managers used when they went out to meet with doctors and hospitals.

This was sent out to over 100,000 households in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana region to promote the opening of our new clinic. These folder inserts were created as part of created as part of Flexeon Rehabilitation’s marketing material.
These inserts were placed in a glossy white folder with our logo in the center finished with a holographic blue and green to match our colors. The varying sizes of each sheet was intentional so that each of the green bars would sit above the previous green bar. These marketing folders were used by our business development managers when they went to meetings with physicians in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana region.
